Grilled Cajun BBQ Salmon with Pilau Rice

4 salmon fillets (6 oz/175 g each)
1 tbsp (15 mL) Cajun seasoning
1/2 cup (125 mL) barbecue sauce
2 cups (500 mL) coleslaw mix
1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil
2 tbsp (30 mL) lime juice
Pinch each salt and pepper
2 pkg (250 g each) Tilda Pilau Steamed Basmati Rice


  1. Preheat grill to medium-high; grease grates well. Spinkle salmon with Cajun seasoning; grill salmon, brushing with barbecue sauce for final minute of cooking, for 6 to 8 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
  2. Toss together coleslaw mix, olive oil, lime juice, salt and pepper until well combined.
  3. Heat rice according to package directions. Serve salmon over rice and coleslaw.


Substitute cod for salmon if desired.
